About

Julie Tortorici is an actor, writer and producer living in NYC. She is a graduate from the Atlantic Theater Company’s prestigious two-year acting conservatory. After graduating, Julie began writing and premiered her critically-acclaimed one-woman show, Belly, which went on to the NYC’s International Fringe Festival. She has since performed her show in a number of venues including, Juvie Hall and the black box theater in Shetler Studios. She has also appeared in a number of plays throughout the city including: Help Me Help Myself, Committed andThe Phantom Tollbooth.

Julie has also worked as a writer and has had her work produced a number of times. For the stage, Julie has written Committed and her one-woman show Belly. Her short film, Table for Three premiered at the LI Film Festival and she’s currently working on two web-series which should both premiere in early summer. Belly has recently been adapted for the screen and will be shot as a full-length feature in June. Julie has also been a finalist in the Script P.I.M.P and ScriptShark Sceenwriting competition’s with her romantic comedy screenplay, Waltzing Emily.
